A lot of attention has been paid to the latest flagship phone from Oppo, the Reno 7 Pro. It seems everyone wants to see what kind of top-of-the-line features are being included in this device, and how it will measure up against the competition.
If you’re wondering what makes this new phone stand out from the crowd, here’s everything you need to know about what to expect from the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, including full specification details and more!
Design and Display
The phone comes with a 6.4-inch LCD screen with Quad HD+ resolution and 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection of internal components. The display has a waterdrop notch at the top which is quite similar to Vivo Nex S Full Specification.
The smartphone weighs around 210 grams and comes in four colors namely Black, Blue, Red, Green. It also sports a set of stereo speakers and an LED flash on its back panel with two cameras as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor below it.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. It features a triple camera setup on its back panel consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor,
an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On its front panel, it sports a 32MP selfie shooter which makes it one of the most feature-packed phones in its price range.
The phone runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with ColorOS 5.2 custom skin over it which offers an excellent user experience to its users.
The device comes with a non-removable 4,000mAh battery and can be charged up to 50% in just 30 minutes. It also has 22.5W Warp Charge fast charging support which is capable of taking you up to 70% in 30 minutes of charge time.
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro comes with a set of stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which supports Warp Charge fast charging. The company claims that it can charge your phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes and that’s quite impressive if true.
Battery Life
The Reno 7 Pro is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which is slightly more than other flagship phones. But even with a larger capacity, it still doesn’t support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology so it can take as long as 3 hours to recharge. So keep your eye on that battery life indicator and remember where you left your power bank at all times.
A bigger battery means you can relax and watch more videos or listen to a lot of music without worrying about recharging. But on a device like the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, it can also translate into more gaming time.
However, with its resolution and high-powered Snapdragon 855 processor, you’ll still find yourself charging after a few hours even if your phone doesn’t run out of juice. The good news is that you can use your old Micro USB cables as they support data transfer at up to 480Mbps and feature faster charge speeds.
With all these in mind, here are some things we learned about one of Samsung’s latest flagship phones: The Galaxy S10+!
The first thing we noticed about Samsung’s new phone is that it has a larger and brighter 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display which is curved on both sides. It can also display up to 16 million colors so you can really see every detail in photos and videos.
And with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels, everything looks stunningly beautiful, especially when watched through its in-display hole camera lens. The Galaxy S10+ also comes with stereo speakers by AKG that provide more immersive sound quality,
as well as Dolby Atmos, surround sound technology so you can feel like you’re in the middle of action even if you’re sitting on your couch at home.
Another thing we like about Samsung’s new flagship is that it comes with a triple-camera setup. While its main rear camera still has 12 megapixels and comes with optical image stabilization, you now have a 16-megapixel telephoto lens as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
Pricing and Availability
The Reno 7 Pro is set to release in China on March 20th, 2018, with an expected price of ¥4899 ($735 USD). Color options include black and red. Pricing for international releases has not yet been announced.
The device will feature a 6-inch FHD+ display covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box under Oppoblack 2.0—Oppo’s custom version of Android Nougat (we saw it first back on last year’s F5). Its AMOLED panel has an 18:9 aspect ratio, 403 PPI density, and 100% NTSC color gamut coverage.
The display is powered by a MediaTek MT6763V Helio P60 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It’s unclear if there will be variants available with more storage space. The device also has a 3,800 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, USB Type-C connectivity,
and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Around the back, you’ll find a dual-camera setup comprised of a 20MP monochrome sensor—with f/1.7 aperture—and a 12MP RGB sensor—with f/1.8 aperture and 1.4-micron pixel size—accompanied by an LED flash and phase detection autofocus system.
The dual-camera setup will enable features like Portrait Mode, 4K video recording at 30 fps, slow-motion video recording (720p @ 240 fps), and AR sticker functionality. The device also has a single front-facing camera with an 8MP sensor—with f/2.0 aperture—and a 120° field of view.
It’s capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 fps. Overall, it’s quite an impressive spec sheet for a device that costs just ¥4899 ($735 USD). This will give brands like Xiaomi and Meizu quite a run for their money!
